Why Choose Us

The best canoeing and kayaking on the Okatoma with no waiting to be picked up at the end of the float! Your Okatoma Adventure begins when we bus you and your family to the Seminary Bridge in air-conditioned buses. From there you can take a leisurely trip at your own speed with lots of swimming and family fun along the eight mile stretch of Okatoma Creek. You will enjoy the natural scenery, the many beautiful sandbars, and take in all of the waterfalls along the #1 rated float in the state (10th in the nation). For those considering an overnight trip, there is an option for a sixteen mile float which begins at Kola. Whichever package you choose, the floats ends at our beautiful facility located right on the Okatoma. That's right, there is no waiting for a pickup bus to take you back to your vehicle. A Hot shower and your vehicle awaits you at our facilities. Seminary Canoe Rental is the only outfitter on the Okatoma to offer this service. Your adventure is on YOUR schedule, not ours!

For those interested in more than a day trip, we have several options for "overnighters." There are four beautiful cabins at our facility, three of which overlook Okatoma Creek. We also have an RV Park and campgrounds for primitive camping. We have a store onsite with snacks and drinks and, of course, the bathrooms and shower houses are open 24 hours. Our cabins fill up fast, so be sure to make your reservations in advance.

Our facilities have been laid out and constructed with a view to preserve the natural beauty. We do not have a large cleared area with a manicured lawn. Rather, we have opted to leave as many of the native trees standing as possible. Our cabins were built with a rustic look and "sit in the woods" so to speak. In fact, much of the lumber used to construct the cabins came from timber select cut from this property. We have several nature trails that meander through the woods and gorgeous primitive camping sites. One of our sites sits adjacent to the largest sandbar on the entire Okatoma.
